Google Plus or Facebook?
Since the launch of Google Plus and the number of people leaving Facebook raising every single day. There are so many reasons behind this change, but this is not why i started writing this post! The reason behind this post is to tell you about the benefits of using Google Plus.

No Restrictions
To me, Google Plus is a another social network website with different features and functionality. If we look at the services that Google carry to help businesses, Google plus is the added service value but from the social side.

You are free to follow people like twitter, you can share and email multiple followers at the same time, although they still have some limitations to send invitations to large number of followers, but at least you don’t have to buy a software to send emails to multiple followers.

Easy To Connect
With Facebook, you are limited with their search function and search results, but with Google Plus…i am adding and following people from all around the world without any hassle, which makes Google Plus a great solution to let people socialize with each other around the world with the same interests or business activities.

Easy To Make Friends
Not like Facebook, Google Plus doesn’t ask you if you know this person or Not! The reason behind social network sites is to be flexible with meeting people and following them, not to make the site like a private school that cannot be entered without telling the security office why you are entering the building.

More Social
Why more social? Because with Google Plus, you can connect all your Google services in one single account. Since most of us use Adwords, Analytics, Keywords research, Places and other Google’s marketing materials, your marketing campaign will get better results from expansion to increasing sales. Not to forget that Google is the Number one search portal in the world.

Hashtags
With Google Plus, the search for a Hashtag is more helpful and better search results, it does not provide you with people that have large number of followers or own a big circle, the search result will come up with people from all around the world, old in the site or new…it does not matter, they are getting the search results randomly.

In this new channel of business, the social media personality should carry many capabilities and specifications. You should first ask yourself, do i have the ability and the specifications to act as one of the social media personality people, or anyone can become a social media marketer?

There are important specifications you should be aware of before you practice this type of job, there are things that should be part of your personality, and there are things that you should not do while practicing this type of job.

First, what type of personality specifications you should have:
1- Helper
2- Promoter
3- Storyteller
4- Friend
5- Transparent
6- Direct

Second, what type of personality that cannot work in this type of job:
1- Shy
2- Nagger
3- Comedian
4- Politician
5- Emotional
6- Spammer

Are these the only specifications for a social media marketer? Of course not! But these are the major specification and acts ( or let us say “Rules”) that you should be aware of.

If you have the social media personality, then you can work in this channel of business without facing any problems. It’s important to be careful and consider what you shouldn’t do, as well as what you should do, when using social media for clients.

Social media when used the wrong way or you break one of the above major rules, it can backfire and you will definitely destroy your name and your reputation, and if you are running a company’s social media accounts, then say good bye to their reputation too.
